Ismael

Ismael dos Santos is a Brazilian administrator, writer, and politician born on July 16, 1965, in Blumenau (SC) . He holds degrees in Administration and Letters, with a master's and doctorate in Literature. He began his public career at a young age, holding local and regional elected positions. He served as a city councilor in Blumenau from 1992 to 2000 and later as a state representative for Santa Catarina from 2011 to 2022 , serving consecutive terms in the Legislative Assembly. Throughout his career, he has also dedicated himself to community initiatives such as founding the Vida Therapeutic Center , focused on the rehabilitation of drug addicts, and to literary production, having authored dozens of books.

Political Career

In his institutional political career, Ismael assumed his first term as a federal deputy on February 1, 2023 , after being elected with 110,531 votes for the PSD of Santa Catarina, joining the 57th Legislature of the House of Representatives . In Congress, he participates as a member of committees such as the Education Committee , in addition to being a member of special committees on Prevention and Assistance to Disasters and Natural Calamities and the National Education Plan (PL 2614/24) , contributing to the analysis of educational policies for the next decade. He has also served on committees related to the defense of women's rights and human rights, when called upon to participate during specific periods of legislative activity.

Performance in the House of Representatives

In his legislative work , although his formal production of his own bills is still incipient at this stage of his term, Ismael is actively involved in debates and support for issues central to his base and to Santa Catarina, such as education, response to climate emergencies, and community actions.
