Hiran Manuel Gonçalves da Silva, born in Tefé/AM on June 19, 1957, graduated in medicine from the Federal University of Amazonas (UFAM) . He is married to Gerlane Baccarin, has 5 children and two grandchildren. He moved to Roraima in 1982, where he developed his career.
In the 2014 elections, he was elected federal deputy for the state of Roraima, receiving 9,048 votes. He was affiliated with the National Mobilization Party (PMN) and is currently with the Progressive Party (PP).
Hiran ran for re-election as a federal deputy for Roraima in the 2018 elections, and was successful. In 2022, he was elected senator with 118,760 votes.
Dr. Hiran has distinguished himself through his work in areas such as health, agriculture, and infrastructure.
In 2023, he voted in favor of the Tax Reform .
Among his main achievements are:
Co-author of Constitutional Amendment Proposal 33/2024 , which creates the Constitutional Fund for Financing the South (FCS);
Co-author of Constitutional Amendment Proposal 16/2024 , which aims to create the National Fund for Climate Emergencies;
Co-author of Bill 3190/2023 , which aims to improve and promote microcredit and microfinance.
Dr. Hiran is the president of the Mixed Parliamentary Front for Medicine (FPMED) .
Acknowledgements
Dr. Hiran received the Parliamentary Excellence Award in 2023 and 2024 from the Ranking of Politicians . In 2025, he received the award again, ranking as the 3rd best senator in Brazil and the best in the state of Roraima.
