Hercílio Araújo Coelho Diniz Filho (known as Hercílio Coelho Diniz ) was born on September 14, 1963, in Governador Valadares (MG) . A businessman in the supermarket sector, he is originally from Eastern Minas Gerais and, before entering politics, accumulated experience as a business manager and community leader in his region.
In his political career , Hercílio Coelho Diniz was elected federal deputy for Minas Gerais in 2018 with 120,489 votes , being the most voted candidate of the MDB-MG in that election, and re-elected in 2022 with 122,819 votes , consolidating his electoral base in the state. In Parliament, he has held positions as vice-president of the Transportation and Highways Committee , was vice-leader of the PP, MDB, PTB bloc , and was a member of important committees such as Finance and Taxation , Tourism , Mines and Energy , and the Joint Budget Committee . Diniz also participates in more than 30 parliamentary fronts, including the Parliamentary Front for Agriculture and the Joint Parliamentary Front for Entrepreneurship , in addition to having been appointed national secretary of the MDB and a member of the Brazilian delegation to the Mercosur Parliament (Parlasur) .
In the National Congress , Hercílio Coelho Diniz has a diverse legislative career, with proposals of his own authorship and active participation in committees . In 2025, he has 25 proposals of his own authorship and 1 reported proposal registered on the House of Representatives's website. Among the projects he presented are PL 3799/2023 , which proposes a maximum limit of students per class in daycare centers, preschool, elementary and high school ; PL 4073/2024 , which deals with the allocation of CIDE-Fuels revenues to subsidies for public collective transport ; PL 4072/2024 , which establishes rules for proportional retirement in the General Social Security Regime (RGPS) ; PL 3495/2024 , which requires the availability of content with Libras interpreters in telecommunications ; PL 2589/2023 , which establishes the "Projecting the Future" Program ; Bill 2878/2023 , which creates the "Company Friendly to Public Schools" Program ; and Bill 1203/2022 , which authorizes the creation of the Federal University of Teófilo Otoni (UFTO) .

I request, pursuant to Article 155, item I, of the Internal Regulations of the House of Representatives, an Urgent Procedure for Bill 2158/23, authored by Senator EFRAIM FILHO, UNIÃO/PB, which amends Law No. 5,991, of December 17, 1973, which "provides for the Sanitary Control of the Trade in Drugs, Medicines, Pharmaceutical Inputs and Related Products, and takes other measures", to regulate the sale of medicines in pharmacies or drugstores located in the sales area of supermarkets.
