Gisela Simona Viana de Souza (known as Gisela Simona ) is a federal deputy for Mato Grosso (UNIÃO-MT) , born on April 28, 1977 in Cuiabá (MT) . A public servant, lawyer from Unemat and postgraduate in Consumer Law, she worked for decades as a conciliator for Consumer Defense at Procon-MT and was president of the Brazilian Association of Procons (PROCONSBRASIL) , in addition to being a member of the National Commission for Consumer Protection and Access to Justice of the Ministry of Justice before entering the federal legislature.
In her political career , Gisela Simona assumed her first term as a federal deputy on July 7, 2023, as an acting substitute in the 57th Legislature (2023-2027) after several re-entries and absences according to the House's procedural rules. Throughout the legislature, she was a member of committees and boards, held positions in bodies such as the Women's Secretariat and the Black Caucus of the House of Representatives , and in 2025 was appointed vice-leader of the largest parliamentary bloc in the House of Representatives (composed of UNIÃO, PP, PSD, Republicanos, MDB, PSDB-Cidadania Federation and PODE), a role of strategic articulation in the House's votes. She also assumed, throughout the legislature, the leadership of the women's caucus of UNIÃO Brasil , reinforcing her work on gender and citizenship issues.
In the National Congress , Gisela Simona has worked on issues such as women's rights, consumer protection, inclusion, and social protection , with hundreds of proposals registered (more than 300 of her own authorship and about 25 reported in 2025 ). Among her bills are PL 872/2025 , which amends the "Minute After" Law to improve services for victims of sexual violence; PL 5320/2025 , which amends the Consumer Protection Code to prohibit charging for seat selection on domestic flights; PL 4148/2025 , which makes the standardization of telemarketing call identification mandatory; PL 4966/2025 , which prohibits granting credit to minors under 18 years of age without judicial authorization; and PL 4975/2024 , which expands the 180 helpline service to women with disabilities who are victims of violence. and Bill 4309/2024 , which updates provisions in the Consumer Protection Code. These initiatives reflect its focus on consumer protection, combating violence, and promoting social and civil rights .

I request, pursuant to Article 155, item I, of the Internal Regulations of the House of Representatives, an Urgent Procedure for Bill 2158/23, authored by Senator EFRAIM FILHO, UNIÃO/PB, which amends Law No. 5,991, of December 17, 1973, which "provides for the Sanitary Control of the Trade in Drugs, Medicines, Pharmaceutical Inputs and Related Products, and takes other measures", to regulate the sale of medicines in pharmacies or drugstores located in the sales area of supermarkets.
