Gilvan Aguiar Costa, also known as Gilvan da Federal, born in Araioses/MA on August 13, 1970, is a former federal police officer and Brazilian politician, affiliated with the Liberal Party (PL). He currently holds the office of federal deputy for the state of Espírito Santo since 2023.
Gilvan da Federal began his political career in 2018 as a candidate for state representative in Espírito Santo, but failed to get elected. In 2020, he was elected city councilor of Vitória by the Patriotas party , with 1560 votes, beginning to gain prominence in local politics.
During his term as city councilman, Gilvan stood out for his work on public safety issues and combating crime, reflecting his experience as a former federal police officer.
In 2022, he was elected federal deputy for Espírito Santo , being the second most voted with 87,994 votes.
During his term as a federal deputy, Gilvan da Federal has stood out for his work on issues related to public safety, defending the rights of police officers, and combating crime. He voted against the tax reform in 2023.
Acknowledgements
Gilvan da Federal received the Parliamentary Excellence Award in 2023 from the Ranking dos Políticos , being the 2nd best federal deputy from Espírito Santo that year.

I request, pursuant to Article 155, item I, of the Internal Regulations of the House of Representatives, an Urgent Procedure for Bill 2158/23, authored by Senator EFRAIM FILHO, UNIÃO/PB, which amends Law No. 5,991, of December 17, 1973, which "provides for the Sanitary Control of the Trade in Drugs, Medicines, Pharmaceutical Inputs and Related Products, and takes other measures", to regulate the sale of medicines in pharmacies or drugstores located in the sales area of supermarkets.
