Gilson Daniel Batista, born in Duque de Caxias/RJ on August 13, 1970, is a Brazilian politician affiliated with the Podemos (PODE) party. He currently serves as a federal deputy for the state of Espírito Santo.
Gilson Daniel began his political career running for city councilor in Viana in 2004, but was not elected, receiving 274 votes. He tried again to become a city councilor in Viana in 2008 and was elected with 1,070 votes (3.36%). In 2012, he ran for mayor of Viana, being elected and re-elected in 2016. In 2022, Gilson Daniel was elected federal deputy for Espírito Santo with 74,215 votes .
He was appointed Secretary of Government and also held the position of Secretary of Economy and Planning during the administration of Governor Renato Casagrande (PSB).
During his term as a federal deputy, Gilson Daniel's main agendas focused on issues related to urban and regional development. He voted in favor of tax reform in 2023 .
