Cabo Gilberto Silva

Gilberto Gomes da Silva was born on April 1, 1981, in Santa Rita, Paraíba. He holds a bachelor's degree in Law and a specialization in Public Security and Criminal Law. Before becoming a member of parliament, he worked as a military police officer in Paraíba, serving in various units, including the National Force.

Political career

He was elected federal deputy for the state of Paraíba for the 2023-2027 term, affiliated with the Liberal Party (PL). During his term, he served as deputy leader of the opposition and the minority at different times, demonstrating his involvement in the party's political maneuvering.

Performance in the National Congress

In his work at the National Congress, Cabo Gilberto Silva is a member of several committees: he was an alternate member of the Constitution, Justice and Citizenship Committee (CCJC), the Foreign Relations and National Defense Committee (CREDN), the Communications Committee (CCOM), the Administration and Public Service Committee (CASP), the Science, Technology and Innovation Committee (CCTI), and others. He has also been a member of the Public Security and Combating Organized Crime Committee (CSPCCO) since March 15, 2025. According to data from the House of Representatives, he has authored 1,309 proposals and reported on 28 projects in 2025, revealing intense legislative activity.
