Trajectory
Geovânia de Sá is a Brazilian business administrator and politician born on March 30, 1972, in Criciúma (SC) . With a degree in Administration, an MBA in Business Management from the Getúlio Vargas Foundation, and a specialization in early childhood leadership from Harvard University, Geovânia had a career spanning over 20 years in the private sector before entering politics. In 2009, she was invited to serve as Secretary of Social Assistance and Housing for Criciúma and, later, as Municipal Secretary of Health . In 2012, she was elected councilwoman with the highest vote count in Criciúma's history and, in 2014, won her first term as a federal deputy for Santa Catarina . Today, she is serving her third term in the House of Representatives (2015–2019, 2019–2023, and 2023–2027) representing the PSDB and the PSDB-Cidadania Federation.
In institutional political activity, Geovania de Sá holds leadership and coordination positions within the House of Representatives. She has served as vice-leader of the PSDB caucus and various parliamentary blocs, and in 2022, she was a member of the third secretary of the House of Representatives's Board of Directors , one of the House's leadership positions. She also actively participates in permanent committees, such as those on Human Rights, Minorities and Racial Equality , Labor , and Health , in addition to chairing and participating in thematic subcommittees, including the Aesthetics and Cosmetology subcommittee within the Labor Committee. These roles give her the opportunity to work on issues ranging from social rights to debates on professional development and inclusion.
In her legislative work , Geovania de Sá has presented several proposals that reflect her agenda focused on social development, inclusion, and sectoral regulation. Among her most recent projects are Bill 849/2025 , which proposes reducing the environmental protection area for the Southern Right Whale in Santa Catarina; Bill 5601/2025 , which amends the Dentistry Law to institute a national proficiency exam; and Bill 5741/2025 , which deals with the exemption from CNPJ registration for establishments of religious organizations without administrative autonomy. In previous terms, she presented proposals such as Bill 1010/2022 , which seeks income tax exemption for dependents with severe disabilities or autism, Bill 1640/2022 , which amends the health law for the rights of women with pregnancy loss, as well as bills dealing with surveillance in educational centers and changes to the CLT related to apprentice quotas. This diversity of proposals illustrates their engagement in social, professional, and regulatory issues, even though none of their proposals have become law to date.
