Pastor Eurico

Francisco Eurico da Silva , better known as Pastor Eurico , was born on September 12, 1962, in Presidente Prudente (SP) . He is an evangelical pastor of the Assembly of God and a communicator, having served in religious leadership in Pernambuco before entering politics. He studied theology and began his professional and community career in churches in Recife before being elected to the federal legislature.

Political Career

His political career began with his election to the House of Representatives in 2010 , assuming office in 2011 and being successively re-elected for the 2011–2015 , 2015–2019 , 2019–2023 , and currently 2023–2027 legislatures, representing the state of Pernambuco . Throughout his parliamentary career, he was affiliated with several parties—including PSB, PHS, and Patriota—before joining the Liberal Party (PL) in 2022, and serving as party deputy leader at different times throughout his terms.

Performance in the House of Representatives

In the National Congress , Pastor Eurico's parliamentary activity is marked by conservative positions. He was president of the Social Security, Social Assistance, Childhood, Adolescence and Family Committee from March 6, 2024 to March 18, 2025 and, in 2025, he serves as vice-leader of the PL and 4th vice-president of the Brazil/Cameroon Parliamentary Group . He is a member of committees such as the Constitution and Justice and Citizenship Committee and the Special Committee of the National Education Plan 2024-2034 , in addition to being an alternate member of other important committees. He participates in the Brazilian representation in the Mercosur Parliament and has presented several legislative proposals, such as PL 2569/2024 (prohibiting the specification of the purchase of alcoholic beverages in public tenders) and PL 335/2025 (alters rules on the FGTS), among other projects registered in the House of Representatives system.
