Francisco Danilo Bastos Forte was born on September 1, 1958 , in Fortaleza (CE) . He holds a degree in Law from the University of Fortaleza (Unifor), and also has training in Engineering and a strong connection to the student movement—including his involvement in the UNE's re-election and as secretary-general of the DCE, also participating in the Diretas Já movement. He has held prominent positions in public administration, including the presidency of the National Health Foundation (Funasa) between 2007 and 2010, a period in which he promoted projects for sanitation, water supply, and control of Chagas disease.

Political career

Danilo Forte was first elected federal deputy in 2010 , beginning his term in 2011. In 2015, he joined the PSB and later the PSDB in 2018, currently being affiliated with União Brasil. Re-elected in successive elections, he was one of the most awarded deputies in Ceará, having been elected "Best Federal Deputy of Ceará" for six consecutive years by the Best of Politics Award. He served as president of the Special Commission that discussed a new Code of Criminal Procedure and was the rapporteur for the Proposed Constitutional Amendment for the mandatory budget, which reinforces the mandatory execution of parliamentary amendments.

Performance in the National Congress

Danilo Forte has distinguished himself through his dynamic legislative work. In 2025, he authored 57 proposals and was the rapporteur for 1 project. He also leads initiatives focused on economic development and energy transition, holding important positions on strategic committees such as head of the Special Committee on Energy Transition and Green Hydrogen Production , the Committee on Mines and Energy , and the Special Committee on Amendments to Income Tax Legislation (PL 1087/25) , in addition to serving as an alternate member on committees such as the CCJ ( Committee on Constitution, Justice and Citizenship), Economic Development , and Artificial Intelligence.

He served as president of the Economic Development Commission between March 2024 and March 2025, reinforcing his work on sustainable growth issues. In 2025, he was awarded the Congresso em Foco Prize in the "Development and Sustainability" category , in recognition of his career in building environmentally conscious economic policies. He has also been involved in national party articulations, such as meetings on consolidating the Progressive Union federation (União Brasil + PP) in opposition to the government in Ceará.

Furthermore, it strengthens its platform with direct initiatives on the legislative agenda, such as:

  • Urgent protocol for Bill 1223/2025 , which classifies militias and criminal factions as terrorism , with massive support from fellow parliamentarians.

  • Presentation of Bill 2125/2025 , to prevent automatic deductions of association fees from the payroll of retirees following a fraud scheme at the INSS (Brazilian National Social Security Institute).
