Trajectory

Fabio Michey Costa da Silva, born in Recife/PE on October 15, 1980, graduated in Law from the Cesmac University Center (Maceió/AL) between 2006 and 2010. He holds postgraduate degrees in Constitutional Law and Criminal Procedure Law from Anhanguera Uniderp University (2015–2016) and in Public Security, Investigation and Intelligence Activity from Unyleya (2023–2024). He began his professional career in the Alagoas Military Fire Department, where he served from 2002 to 2014. Subsequently, he became a delegate of the Alagoas Civil Police, serving in various units, such as the Santana do Ipanema Regional Police Station, the Maceió Homicide Division, the direction of the Judicial Police of Area 3, and the command of the DEIC (Special Division of Investigations and Captures).

Political career

Fábio Costa's political career began in 2020 when he was elected city councilor of Maceió by the PSB party, becoming the most voted candidate in the Alagoas capital with 12,038 votes (3.06%). In 2022, already affiliated with the Progressistas (PP) party, he was elected federal deputy for Alagoas with 60,767 votes (3.67%), assuming office for the 2023–2027 legislature. Throughout his career, he built a base of action focused on public safety, defense of order, and strengthening police institutions.

Performance in the National Congress

During his term, Fábio Costa served as vice-leader of the Progressistas party and parliamentary blocs that included parties such as União Brasil, PSDB, Cidadania, PDT, PSB, Avante, Solidariedade, and Patriota. He is a member of the Public Security and Combating Organized Crime Committee (CSPCCO), where he serves as 2nd vice-president, in addition to participating in committees such as Constitution and Justice and Citizenship (CCJC), Finance and Taxation (CFT), Environment and Sustainable Development (CMADS), Tourism, Communication and Foreign Relations, and National Defense. He also served on the Special Committee on Energy Transition and Green Hydrogen Production, the MST CPI—where he was 2nd vice-president—and the external committee on soil collapse in neighborhoods of Maceió. He stands out for his full attendance at plenary sessions and committee meetings, remaining active in discussions and votes involving security, economic development, and the strengthening of democratic institutions.
