Fábio Luiz Schiochet Filho is a Brazilian businessman and politician born on May 31, 1988, in Jaraguá do Sul (SC) . He holds degrees in Production and Systems Engineering from FURB and training in Public Management. He began his career in the private sector, working in the resale of petroleum derivatives before entering politics. He was elected federal deputy for Santa Catarina in 2018 by the PSL party , becoming the youngest parliamentarian from the state that year , and re-elected in 2022 by the União Brasil party , currently serving his term in the 2023–2027 legislature in the House of Representatives.
In his institutional political career, Schiochet has held various prominent positions in the National Congress and within his party. During his first term, he was appointed Secretary of Social Communication of the House of Representatives (SECOM) , becoming the youngest person to hold this position in the House's history. He also chaired important committees, such as the Mines and Energy Committee and the Consumer Protection Committee, before being elected president of the House of Representatives' Ethics and Parliamentary Decorum Council for the 2025–2027 term, a strategic position responsible for conducting disciplinary proceedings in cases of parliamentary misconduct. Furthermore, he serves as vice-leader of the bloc that includes União, PP, PSD, Republicanos, and MDB in the House of Representatives , consolidating its internal coordination.
In his legislative work , Schiochet has presented and signed bills that reflect economic, social, and security issues. Among the proposals he authored in 2025 are Bill 1931/2025 , which establishes the National Program "School 4.0" to expand technical and vocational education with a focus on innovation and employability; Bill 1336/2025 , which creates the Safe City Program for integrated monitoring between the public and private sectors for public safety purposes; Bill 4084/2025 , which amends the Consumer Protection Code to hold financial institutions responsible for automatic debits without the consumer's express authorization; Bill 2907/2025 , which establishes the National Campaign to Encourage Youth Entrepreneurship ; and Bill 5200/2025 , which establishes the Specialized Transitional Shelter Service for Child and Adolescent Mental Health in the SUS (Unified Health System) and SUAS (Unified Social Assistance System). Schiochet also presented proposals dealing with changes to the Brazilian Traffic Code, stricter penalties for serious crimes, and incentives for energy efficiency.
