Fábio Eduardo de Oliveira Teruel (known as Fábio Teruel ) is a Brazilian politician, communicator, radio broadcaster, and digital influencer , born on October 22, 1971, in Santa Bárbara d'Oeste (SP) . Before entering party politics, he built a career as a communicator and Christian preacher with a strong presence on radio and social media, in addition to working as a writer and singer. In the 2022 elections, he was elected federal deputy for São Paulo by the MDB-SP , obtaining one of the party's highest vote counts in the state and assuming his first term in the 57th Legislature (2023-2027) in the House of Representatives .
In his political career , Teruel has already served on important committees in the House of Representatives, such as the Communications Committee and the Finance and Taxation Committee , in addition to being an alternate member of the Consumer Protection Committee and a full member of the Special Committee on Artificial Intelligence (PL 2338/23) in 2025, which reflects his involvement in debates on technology, economics, and regulatory frameworks.
In the National Congress , Fábio Teruel has an active legislative role in areas ranging from public safety to the regulatory environment and consumer rights , with approximately 25 proposals of his authorship officially registered in 2025. In running text, his work in plenary and committees includes the presentation of projects such as PL 3203/2025 , which amends the Brazilian Aeronautical Code to allow the shooting down of drones that pose a risk to civil aviation ; PL 1159/2025 , which amends Laws No. 9.656/98 and No. 9.961/98 to require greater transparency from health plan operators in the denial of medical procedures ; and PL 6134/2025 , which provides for the prevention and management of invasive exotic plant species harmful to pollinating fauna . Bill 2333/2025 , which establishes the National Policy to Combat Racism in Sports ; Bill 1933/2025 , which prohibits mass automated telephone calls ("robocalls") and establishes penalties ; and Bill 1429/2025 , which amends Law No. 6,538/1978 to reduce postage rates in areas without home delivery service from the Post Office , initiatives that demonstrate its focus on security, transparency in supplementary health, environmental control, inclusion, and defense of the rights of users of services and technologies .
