Evair Vieira de Melo, born in Conceição do Castelo/ES on April 2, 1972, is a certified agronomist, holds a degree in Business Administration, and an MBA in Project Management from the Getulio Vargas Foundation (FGV). The son of small farmers, Evair de Melo has strong ties to the agricultural sector and public administration.
Evair de Melo began his political career as Secretary of Agriculture and Environment of Venda Nova do Imigrante, a position he held from 2000 until mid-2008. In 2008, he ran for mayor of Venda Nova do Imigrante, but was defeated by Dalton Perim. Between 2009 and 2014, he was president of the Capixaba Institute of Research, Technical Assistance and Rural Extension (Incaper) and also chaired the National Council of Agricultural Research Entities (Consepa).
In 2014, he was elected federal deputy for the Green Party (PV). In 2018, he was elected federal deputy for the Progressive Party (PP) with 48,412 votes . In 2022, he was re-elected federal deputy with 75,034 votes , being the third most voted in Espírito Santo.
During his term as a federal deputy, Evair de Melo has distinguished himself through his work on issues related to agriculture, the environment, and rural development. Among his main areas of focus are:
He was deputy leader of the Bolsonaro government in the legislature between 2020 and 2022. He is a defender and one of the main proponents of Bill 709/2023 , which establishes restrictions and impediments for invaders and illegal occupants of rural properties and public buildings.
In 2016, he was one of the federal deputies who voted in favor of the impeachment of President Dilma Rousseff . He voted in favor of several economic reforms, such as the Constitutional Amendment that established the Spending Cap Rule in 2016, the Labor Reform in 2017, and the Pension Reform in 2019. He voted against the Tax Reform of 2023.

Evair Vieira de Melo received the Parliamentary Excellence Award from the Politicians Ranking in 2019, 2021, 2022, and in every year of the 57th Legislature (2023-2026), being the best parliamentarian from Espírito Santo and 14th in the overall ranking for the Legislature.
