Trajectory
Erika Hilton was born in São Paulo (SP) and built her career through social activism and the defense of human rights. She gained national prominence for her work in social movements linked to combating inequalities, promoting citizenship, and defending historically vulnerable groups. Before entering institutional politics, she distinguished herself as a communicator and social organizer, using public debate and social media as instruments for mobilization and awareness.
Her political career began in the municipal legislature, with her election as a city councilor in São Paulo in 2020, when she received the most votes in the capital. During her term, she focused her work on issues such as human rights, combating hunger, social assistance policies, racial equality, and social protection. In 2022, she was elected federal deputy for São Paulo, expanding her work to the national level and consolidating her position as one of the leading voices of the new generation of parliamentarians in Congress.
In the House of Representatives, Erika Hilton's work is strongly focused on the social and labor agenda, notably her authorship of Constitutional Amendment Proposal (PEC) 8/2025, which addresses the end of the 6x1 work schedule. This PEC proposes a reduction in the weekly work hours, guaranteeing more days off for workers, and has become one of her main causes in Congress, gaining widespread national attention and mobilizing labor unions, social movements, and public debate on quality of life, productivity, and labor rights. In addition to this agenda, the congresswoman serves on committees and presents proposals aimed at combating inequalities, promoting human dignity, and strengthening social protection policies.
