Trajectory
Erika Jucá Kokay, born in Fortaleza/CE on August 15, 1957, is a Brazilian banker, psychologist, trade unionist, and politician, affiliated with the Workers' Party (PT). She currently serves as a federal deputy for the Federal District. She presided over the Brasília Bank Workers' Union between 1992 and 1998 and the Unified Workers' Central of the Federal District (CUT-DF) from 2000 to 2002. She has been a member of the PT since 1989.
Erika Kokay ran for her first election in 1998 for district representative, but was only elected in the 2002 election. In 2006, she was re-elected to the same position.
In the Legislative House of Representatives of the Federal District, Erika Kokay chaired the Human Rights and Consumer Rights Defense Committees. She was the leader of the PT (Workers' Party) caucus in 2005 and 2009.
In 2010, she was elected federal deputy with the fifth highest vote count in the Federal District, obtaining 72,651 votes. In 2014, she was re-elected for her second term as a federal deputy. In 2018, she was re-elected for her third term , being the second most voted candidate in the Federal District and the only one to be re-elected , this time with 89,986 votes. In 2022, she was re-elected for her fourth term as a federal deputy for the Federal District with 146,092 votes, as the third most voted.
During her term as a federal deputy, Erika Kokay has distinguished herself through her work on issues related to human rights, workers' rights, gender equality, and the defense of minorities.
In 2016, he was one of the federal deputies who voted against the impeachment of President Dilma Rousseff . He voted against the Constitutional Amendment that established the Spending Cap Rule in 2016, the Labor Reform in 2017, and the Pension Reform in 2019. In 2023, he voted in favor of the 2023 Tax Reform .

I request, pursuant to Article 155, item I, of the Internal Regulations of the House of Representatives, an Urgent Procedure for Bill 2158/23, authored by Senator EFRAIM FILHO, UNIÃO/PB, which amends Law No. 5,991, of December 17, 1973, which "provides for the Sanitary Control of the Trade in Drugs, Medicines, Pharmaceutical Inputs and Related Products, and takes other measures", to regulate the sale of medicines in pharmacies or drugstores located in the sales area of supermarkets.
