Trajectory
Eliziane Gama began her public career in movements related to the defense of human rights, especially in the areas of children, youth, and women. She worked as a journalist before entering electoral politics.
She was elected state representative in 2006, becoming one of the youngest members of the Legislative Assembly of Maranhão. In 2014, she was elected federal representative. In 2018, she won the race for the Senate.
In the Senate, she works on issues related to human rights, policies for women, democracy, and transparency. She participated in the Parliamentary Commission of Inquiry into the Pandemic and was a member of thematic committees in the social and institutional areas.
