Eduardo Bolsonaro

Eduardo Bolsonaro is a Brazilian politician currently serving his third term as a Federal Deputy. He is the third son of former President Jair Bolsonaro and brother of politicians Carlos Bolsonaro and Flávio Bolsonaro. Aligned with far-right positions, Eduardo is known for his controversial stances and for sharing his father's political views.

In the political arena, Eduardo Bolsonaro is known for opposing issues such as same-sex marriage, affirmative action policies, the "School Without Political Parties" movement, and for expressing opinions in favor of closing the Supreme Federal Court (STF). In the 2022 elections, he was the third most voted candidate in São Paulo, obtaining a significant vote of 741,700.

In 2019, Eduardo Bolsonaro was considered for the position of Brazilian ambassador to Washington, but his nomination did not receive support from the Federal Senate, which would have had to approve the appointment. He later withdrew from the race and currently serves as deputy leader of his party in the House of Representatives.

In the legislative sphere, Eduardo Bolsonaro has presented proposals related to lowering the age of criminal responsibility, supporting agribusiness, family planning (PEC 584/02), relaxing gun laws, valuing the armed forces, and defending free trade. In 2016, he presented a bill that seeks to criminalize communism, equating the advocacy of communism with the advocacy of Nazism.

In addition to his parliamentary work, Eduardo Bolsonaro is a full member of the Foreign Relations and National Defense Committee (CREDN) and the Public Security and Combating Organized Crime Committee (CSPCCO) in the House of Representatives. His political positions and actions have generated debate and controversy in the public sphere.

Eduardo Bolsonaro received the Parliamentary Excellence Award in 2023 from the Ranking of Politicians , with a score of 7.31 points, ranking him as the 15th best parliamentarian in São Paulo and 87th overall.
