Éder Mauro Cardoso Barra, better known as Delegate Éder Mauro , was born on December 14, 1960, in Belém (PA) . A graduate in Law from the Federal University of Pará , he dedicated a large part of his professional career to the Civil Police of Pará , where he served as a delegate for approximately 30 years before entering politics.
He was first elected federal deputy for the state of Pará in 2014 , assuming office on February 1, 2015 , and is currently serving his third consecutive term (2015–2019, 2019–2023, and 2023–2027) . He is currently affiliated with the Liberal Party (PL) after stints with the PFL, PTB, and PSD. Throughout his parliamentary career, he has focused strongly on public safety, law and order issues, and has defended conservative agendas that reflect his professional background.
In the National Congress , Éder Mauro actively participates in committees, holding positions on the Constitution, Justice and Citizenship Committee (CCJ) , the Special Committee on the National Fund for Racial Equality (PEC 27/24), and the Committee for the Defense of Women's Rights , in addition to serving as an alternate member on committees such as Public Security and Human Rights . By 2025, he had registered 147 proposals of his own authorship and had 13 reported on in the House of Representatives, including Bill No. 2158/2025 (which proposes to prohibit the use of neutral language in official communications), Bill No. 4412/2025 (restrictions on the display of promotional values by gas stations), and Bill No. 4408/2025 (establishes an educational campaign on the disappearance of children and adolescents), as well as projects such as Bill No. 4156/2024 (establishes a Christmas bonus for beneficiaries of the Bolsa Família program). Throughout his terms in office, he also held various deputy leadership positions in parliamentary blocs and within the PL party , reflecting his strong political skills within the federal caucus.

I request, pursuant to Article 155, item I, of the Internal Regulations of the House of Representatives, an Urgent Procedure for Bill 2158/23, authored by Senator EFRAIM FILHO, UNIÃO/PB, which amends Law No. 5,991, of December 17, 1973, which "provides for the Sanitary Control of the Trade in Drugs, Medicines, Pharmaceutical Inputs and Related Products, and takes other measures", to regulate the sale of medicines in pharmacies or drugstores located in the sales area of supermarkets.
