Trajectory
Styvenson Valentim was born on February 7, 1977, in Rio Branco, Acre. He graduated in law from Estácio University in Rio Grande do Norte. Before entering politics, he served as a military police officer, achieving national prominence in 2014 for his work as commander of the enforcement of theDry Law in the state of Rio Grande do Norte. He also became known for making numerous arrests in other activities as a military police officer and for his advocacy for school reform .
In 2018, Styvenson Valentim began his political career by being elected as the most voted senator in Rio Grande do Norte, initially affiliated with Rede Sustentabilidade and, later, with Podemos.
Styvenson Valentim has distinguished himself through his work on issues related to security, public administration, and health.
In 2019, he voted in favor of the Pension Reform and, in 2023, he supported the approval of the Tax Reform .
Among his main achievements are:
Co-author of Constitutional Amendment Proposal 33/2024 , which limits monocratic (individual) decisions in the Supreme Federal Court (STF) and other superior courts;
Author of Bill 3247/2024 , which aims to regulate the so-called "Pix amendments";
Author of PL 3018/2024 , which aims to regulate artificial intelligence data centers.
Acknowledgements
Styvenson Valentim received the Parliamentary Excellence Award in 2023 from the Ranking of Politicians , being the 1st parliamentarian from Rio Grande do Norte and 16th overall. In 2024, he received the award again, ranking as the 8th best senator in Brazil and the 1st in the state of Rio Grande do Norte.
