Duda Salabert

Duda Salabert is a Brazilian politician who made history by becoming the first transgender person elected to the National Congress. She is the national vice-president of Ciro Gomes' party, the Democratic Labour Party (PDT), and was elected with a total of 208,300 votes. Her first term in the House of Representatives will focus on defending human rights, the environment, and education.

Duda's political career began in 2020 when she was elected councilwoman of Belo Horizonte for the PDT party.
