Trajectory
Dilvanda Furtado Faro was born on May 8, 1969, in Bujaru, Pará , and is a farmer and trade unionist by training. She began her political life at a young age in the Catholic Church's Pastoral ministry and joined the Workers' Party (PT) in 1987. She has resided in Belém since the 1990s and is married to Senator Beto Faro. Before arriving in Congress, she was heavily involved in the rural social and trade union movement in the state.
Her political career includes a term in the Legislative Assembly of Pará , to which she was elected in 2018 with 43,796 votes, being the only woman in the PT (Workers' Party) caucus in the Alepa (Legislative Assembly of Pará) and holding positions such as deputy prosecutor of the Special Prosecutor's Office for Women and member of the Board of Directors. In 2022, she was elected federal deputy for Pará with 150,065 votes , assuming her first term in the 57th Legislature of the House of Representatives (2023–2027) .
In Congress, Dilvanda Faro has a prominent role in social, environmental, and Amazonian peoples issues. She is a member of the Special Committees on Prevention and Assistance to Disasters and Natural Calamities , Agriculture, Livestock, Supply and Rural Development , Environment and Sustainable Development , and Defense of Women's Rights , in addition to being an alternate member of the Committee on the Amazon and Indigenous and Traditional Peoples . By 2025, she has authored 138 proposals and reported on 19 in the House of Representatives. She was elected president of the Committee on the Amazon and Indigenous and Traditional Peoples for the period from March 12, 2024 to March 18, 2025, and has presented projects such as PL 5295/2023 (confidentiality of data of women victims of violence) and PL 5189/2023 (ensuring remote education for pregnant/lactating women), as well as other initiatives in areas such as labor, social assistance, and energy.

I request, pursuant to Article 155, item I, of the Internal Regulations of the House of Representatives, an Urgent Procedure for Bill 2158/23, authored by Senator EFRAIM FILHO, UNIÃO/PB, which amends Law No. 5,991, of December 17, 1973, which "provides for the Sanitary Control of the Trade in Drugs, Medicines, Pharmaceutical Inputs and Related Products, and takes other measures", to regulate the sale of medicines in pharmacies or drugstores located in the sales area of supermarkets.
