Christine Nogueira dos Reis Tonietto, better known as Chris Tonietto, born in Rio de Janeiro/RJ on May 14, 1991, is a lawyer graduated from the Federal Fluminense University (UFF).
Chris Tonietto began her political career in 2018, when she was elected federal deputy for Rio de Janeiro by the Social Liberal Party (PSL), obtaining 38,525 votes. She was re-elected in 2022, already affiliated with the Liberal Party (PL), with 52,583 votes.
In her first term, Chris Tonietto founded and chaired the Mixed Parliamentary Front for Youth and the Mixed Parliamentary Front against Abortion and in Defense of Life, the latter reinstated in the following legislature, in April 2023. She has served on the Committees on Constitution and Justice and Citizenship (CCJC), Defense of Women's Rights (CMulher), Social Security and Family (CSSF), and Education (CE), having held the 1st Vice-Presidency of the CCJC between 2024 and 2025. In March 2019, at the invitation of the Ministry of Women, Family and Human Rights, she participated in an official mission to the Commission on the Status of Women (CSW) at the UN headquarters. Her parliamentary work is marked by the defense of conservative agendas, with emphasis on projects aimed at restricting legal abortion for minors and strengthening mechanisms for protecting children against inappropriate content, within the scope of the Statute of Children and Adolescents.
Acknowledgements
Chris Tonietto received the Parliamentary Excellence Award in 2023, 2025, and 2026 of the 57th Legislature (2023-2026) from the Ranking dos Políticos , being the 3rd best parliamentarian in Rio de Janeiro and 46th in the overall ranking for the Legislature.
