Antônio Tadeu Veneri was born on February 10, 1953, in União da Vitória (PR) . Before reaching the federal legislature, he had a long political career in Paraná , with union and party involvement in the PT since 1988 , also serving as a city councilor in Curitiba and, for about 20 years , as a state deputy in Paraná , where he built his base in defense of social rights, public servants, the environment, and social inclusion policies.
In his political career , Veneri was elected federal deputy for Paraná by the PT in the 2022 election , assuming his first term in the House of Representatives on February 1, 2023, as a representative of the Brazil Federation of Hope (PT-PCdoB-PV) . Throughout the 57th Legislature, he has already held the position of vice-leader of the Brazil Federation of Hope , actively participated in permanent committees such as Human Rights, Minorities and Racial Equality , Financial Oversight and Control , Science, Technology and Innovation , and has positioned himself in central debates on public budget, administrative reform and defense of public service, reflecting his long history of activism in social and democratic causes.
In the National Congress , Tadeu Veneri has a broad legislative output, with approximately 330 proposals of his authorship registered in 2025 on the House of Representatives' website. Among the projects presented are PL 6509/2025 , which amends article 396-A of the Code of Criminal Procedure to adjust the criminal procedural rules; PL 5033/2025 , which adds a chapter to the Ports Law for the protection of maritime crew members based on international conventions (co-authored with Father João); PL 1514/2025 , which mandates the installation of accessible diaper-changing stations for people with disabilities, adults, or the elderly; and PL 3103/2025 , which adds a new article 42-B to the Consumer Protection Code to prohibit collection or sales calls from financial institutions. These initiatives reflect his work in human rights, social protection, consumer protection, legal security, and regulation of labor relations and public services , in addition to his participation as coordinator of the Parliamentary Front in Defense of Public Universities in the House of Representatives.
