Pinheirinho

Antônio Pinheiro Neto, known as Pinheirinho , was born on May 30, 1991 , in Belo Horizonte, Minas Gerais . He is a businessman and holds a law degree from FUMEC University in Belo Horizonte. Pinheirinho comes from a family political tradition and began his public career at a young age, influenced by the work of his father, Toninho Pinheiro , who was also a federal deputy. Pinheirinho entered public administration when he was elected mayor of Ibirité in 2012, taking office in 2013 as the youngest mayor in Minas Gerais, a position he held until 2016. His administration prioritized the modernization of municipal public health and urban infrastructure projects, such as the Sewage Treatment Plant and the Ibirité Bus Terminal.

Political career

In his political career, Pinheirinho was elected federal deputy for Minas Gerais in the 2018 elections by the Progressistas party , being one of the most voted young candidates in the state, and re-elected in 2022 by the PP (Progressistas Party) for the 2023-2027 term. He has held positions as vice-leader of parliamentary blocs and, in his trajectory in the House of Representatives, was elected president of the Social Security and Family Commission (CSSF) , a prominent committee that deals with issues such as health, social security and social assistance.

Performance in the House of Representatives

In the National Congress, Pinheirinho participates in several committees, serving as a full member of the Health Committee and as an alternate member of committees such as Mines and Energy , Defense of the Rights of the Elderly , and Agriculture, Livestock, Supply and Rural Development . He has also served as vice-leader of party blocs in different formations since 2019. In his legislative work, Pinheirinho has presented significant proposals during his current term, such as Bill 281/2025 , which proposes deducting expenses for adopted pets from income tax; Bill 4316/2025 , which deals with partnerships between the SUS (Brazilian Public Health System) and educational institutions to offer healthcare assistance; and Bill 5591/2025 , which seeks to strengthen guidelines for the prevention and care of diabetes. He also presented projects such as PL 4764/2025 , which grants the municipality of Antônio Carlos (MG) the title of National Capital of Queijo do Reino (Kingdom Cheese), and other projects from 2024 such as PL 1835/2024 and PL 4567/2024 , which deal with adjustments to various legal norms.
