Júnior Mano

José Antônio Luiz Rodrigues Mano Júnior, known as Júnior Mano , was born in Nova Russas (Ceará), on April 16, 1985.

Political career

A businessman by training, he began his political career as vice-mayor of his city in 2016. In 2018 he was elected federal deputy for Ceará with 67,917 votes, and re-elected in 2022 with a significant vote (216,531 votes). Affiliated with the PL in his first term, he switched to the PSB in 2025 after party disagreements.

Performance in the National Congress

Throughout his parliamentary career, Júnior Mano has presented several bills focusing on public safety, health, consumer rights, and transparency, in addition to holding vice-presidential positions on committees such as the Sports Committee. One of his most prominent projects is Bill 834/2024 , which stipulates that victims of assaults be notified if their convicted aggressors are released—with guaranteed protection of personal data. Another is Bill 2340/2025 , which proposes to provide a legal basis for intermunicipal consortia for public safety and social defense, seeking to strengthen the municipalities' response to the problem of crime under a clearer legal framework. He also presented Bill 616/2023 , which allocates a percentage of lottery revenue to the Special Fund for Public Calamities, to provide emergency support in disaster situations. Furthermore, he proposed Bill 671/2023 , nicknamed the "Rouanet Law for Health," which provides tax incentives for donations aimed at improving basic and specialized health care, facilitating investments in equipment, works, and municipal services.

His work in the National Congress is characterized by mobilizing support for urgent issues relevant to his electoral base in Ceará, such as public safety, municipal health, and legal backing for local initiatives, while simultaneously participating in committees that discuss strategic national areas.
