Antonio Brito

Antônio Luiz Paranhos Ribeiro Leite de Brito was born on January 17, 1969, in Salvador (BA). He is a business administrator, graduated from the Bahia School of Administration (1990) and with a specialization in Economic and Financial Auditing from Gama Filho University (1993).

Before joining the House of Representatives, he held important positions in the area of ​​social assistance: he was President of the National Council for Social Assistance (CNAS), of the Federation of Holy Houses of Bahia and of the National Confederation of Holy Houses and Philanthropic Entities, in addition to being a member of university and social management councils.

Political Career

Antônio Brito was first elected federal deputy for Bahia in 2010, taking office on February 1, 2011, and being re-elected in 2014, 2018, and 2022, currently serving his fourth consecutive term.

Since 2016, he has been affiliated with the PSD. Within the House of Representatives, he stands out as the leader of the PSD caucus since February 1, 2023, being re-elected by the party several times, consolidating his influence in the House.

Performance in the National Congress

• He served as president of the Social Security and Family Commission three times (2015, 2019 and 2020).

• In 2025, he authored 168 proposals and served as rapporteur on one project.
  

Furthermore, he holds leadership roles in parliament and international affairs: he is the leader of the PSD, 2nd secretary of the Brazil-Turkey and Brazil-Thailand Parliamentary Groups, 3rd vice-president of the Brazil-Chile Group, and president of the Brazil-Portugal Group.
