Trajectory
Antônio Cezar Correia Freire (known as Cezinha de Madureira ) is a Brazilian evangelical pastor, journalist, radio broadcaster, and politician , born on December 12, 1973, in Ipiaú (BA) . Before his parliamentary career, he worked in radio broadcasting and as a religious leader in the Assembly of God Madureira Ministry , which positioned him as a voice for a significant evangelical segment in Brazil and qualified him for institutional politics.
In his political career , Cezinha de Madureira was elected federal deputy for São Paulo in 2018 and re-elected in 2022 by the PSD-SP , currently serving his second term in the 57th Legislature (2023-2027) in the House of Representatives . In Parliament, he has held leadership positions such as vice-leader of a bloc and of the Majority at different times, was president of the Transportation and Communications Committee and, from April 2025, appointed Secretary of Transparency of the House of Representatives, with responsibilities for supervising the Access to Information Law and proposing legislative improvements in the area. In September 2025, he was also elected president of the joint committee in charge of analyzing Provisional Measure 1309/25 , which establishes the Sovereign Brazil Plan to compensate exporters affected by the so-called US tariff hike .
In the National Congress , Cezinha de Madureira has a significant legislative presence, with hundreds of proposals authored by him and dozens reported on the House of Representatives's website in 2025. Among the projects presented are:
• Bill 888/2025 , which amends Law No. 9,610/1998 to establish transparent and proportionate criteria for the collection of fees by ECAD ;
• Bill 2096/2024 , which proposes technical uniformity for radios manufactured in Brazil to operate in the extended FM band (76–108 MHz), aiming to expand access to broadcasting;

• Bill 678/2022 , which proposes changes to the Brazilian passport classification (Law No. 13,445/2017).
These initiatives reflect their work on issues of broadcasting, copyright, culture, urban transport, civil law, and sectoral regulatory matters , combining technical and social agendas in Congress.
