Trajectory
Antonio Carlos Nicoletti, known as Nicoletti, is a Brazilian public servant and politician, affiliated with the Liberal Party. He is currently serving his second term as a federal deputy for the state of Roraima. He served for 14 years as a soldier in the Army, reaching the rank of sergeant, and also as a Federal Highway Police officer. Public safety and the fight against organized crime are among his main causes.
Nicoletti entered politics in 2018, joining the PSL party and being elected federal deputy with 12,969 votes . In 2020, he ran for mayor of Boa Vista, finishing fifth with just over 13,000 votes . In 2022, he was re-elected federal deputy with 10,969 votes.
He was a member of the Public Security and Combating Organized Crime Committee (CSPCCO), as well as the Constitution, Justice and Citizenship Committee (CCJC). He coordinated the External Committee focused on the Crisis on the Border with Venezuela, due to the large migration of Venezuelans to that region. He was deputy leader in his first term in the PSL.
Throughout 2023, he presented 446 legislative proposals and reported on 21 projects in the House of Representatives.
He is known for supporting projects against abortion, against the decriminalization of drugs, and is critical of the political activism of the Supreme Federal Court, the expropriation of productive lands, tax increases, and the purchase of energy from Venezuela. He is the author of the bill that nationally regulates the career of traffic agents in states and municipalities.
He voted in favor of the pension reform in 2019 and against the tax reform in 2023 .
