Ana Paula Brandão was born on November 17, 1983 , in Fortaleza (Ceará) . She holds a degree in Nursing , with a specialization and MBA in Hospital Management. She is also active in the nursing profession, having served as president of the Regional Nursing Council of Ceará (Coren-CE). She is a mother with a strong connection to public health demands, especially those involving the nursing profession.
Ana Paula formally entered politics as a city councilor in Fortaleza. In 2022, she ran for federal deputy for the PDT party, becoming an alternate. She assumed the position of federal deputy for the first time in May 2023 , replacing Eduardo Bismarck, who took leave to head a state ministry. In 2025, her party affiliation changed to Podemos (PODE).
Ana Paula Brandão has focused her work in Congress on issues related to public health , the appreciation of nursing, women's rights, and combating obstetric violence . She was a member of the Health Committee (from March 2025) and participates in committees such as the Committee on Obstetric Violence and Maternal Mortality, in addition to being an alternate member of the CCJC (Committee on Constitution, Justice and Citizenship) and the Committee for the Defense of Women's Rights. During her term, she presented 74 proposals of her own authorship and reported on 12 projects until 2025, demonstrating active participation in the legislative process.
