Ana Cristina de Lima Pimentel is a federal deputy for Minas Gerais (PT-MG) , born on May 15, 1982, in Congonhas (MG) . A physician, university professor , and researcher in Public Health , she holds a master's degree in Collective Health and a doctorate in Public Health, with an academic career and experience in collective health before entering legislative politics.
In her political career , Ana Pimentel served as Secretary of Health for Juiz de Fora (MG) from 2021 to 2022 , during the administration of Mayor Margarida Salomão, where she participated in policies to combat the pandemic and strengthen the health system. In 2022 , she was elected federal deputy for the PT-MG with 72,698 votes for the 2023-2027 legislature, assuming her first term in the House of Representatives in February 2023. In Parliament, she has already held the position of vice-leader of the Brazil Federation of Hope (PT-PCdoB-PV) and was elected president of the Commission for the Defense of Women's Rights in 2024, in addition to being a member of the Health Commission and a member of commissions such as the Special Commission on Obstetric Violence and Maternal Mortality .
In the National Congress , Ana Pimentel's work focuses on public health, women's rights, education, and citizenship . She is the author of bills such as PL 5276/2025 , which amends the Broadcasting Law to promote media literacy ; PL 5275/2025 , to include human rights, citizenship, democracy, and ethics in school curricula; PL 6245/2025 , which creates guidelines to support rural roads ; PL 5869/2025 , which changes the rules for highway concessions to implement escape lanes in high-risk sections ; PL 1471/2024 , which regulates the Hospital Food Program ; PL 4472/2024 , on the official terminology for filariasis and advanced lymphedema ; and PL 243/2024 , which modifies the SUS (Brazilian Public Health System) in women's healthcare. PL 5673/2023 , which establishes the National Policy for Comprehensive Women's Health ; and PL 4749/2023 , which deals with health and environmental education in the school curriculum . She was also the rapporteur for the approval of the National Plan for the Management of Medical Oxygen (PL 1069/21) in the Health Committee .

I request, pursuant to Article 155, item I, of the Internal Regulations of the House of Representatives, an Urgent Procedure for Bill 2158/23, authored by Senator EFRAIM FILHO, UNIÃO/PB, which amends Law No. 5,991, of December 17, 1973, which "provides for the Sanitary Control of the Trade in Drugs, Medicines, Pharmaceutical Inputs and Related Products, and takes other measures", to regulate the sale of medicines in pharmacies or drugstores located in the sales area of supermarkets.
