Alan Rick

Alan Rick, a native of Rio Branco, is a parliamentarian with a career marked by his versatility and commitment. Before entering politics, he built a solid career as a television presenter, standing out for his communication skills. He holds a postgraduate degree in political journalism, which complements his work in the public sector. For 20 years, he was a presenter on TV Gazeta , where he gained recognition and established a close relationship with the public. His professional experience contributed to his work in parliament, where he remains an active and influential voice.

Political Career

Alan Rick began his political career in 2014 when he was elected federal deputy, a position he held with dedication and commitment, being re-elected in the following election with 22,263 votes. In 2022, he further consolidated his career by being elected Senator of the Republic for the state of Acre, with 154,312 votes, corresponding to 37.46% of the valid votes. This result reflects the electorate's confidence in his work and his growing influence on the national political scene.

Throughout his political career, Alan Rick was affiliated with different parties. He was affiliated with the PSB from 2007 to 2013, the PRB (currently called Republicanos) from 2013 to 2017, the DEM from 2017 to 2022, and in 2022 he joined União Brasil . His election to the Senate was boosted by his association with the popularity of then-President Jair Bolsonaro (PL) , who even recorded videos asking for votes for the Senate candidate.

Performance in the National Congress

In the Federal Senate, he was elected President of the Committee on Agriculture and Agrarian Reform of the Legislative House for the 2023-2024 term.

Among his main achievements are:

• He is the author of Bill 2031/2022 , which amends Law No. 10,826, of December 22, 2003, to provide for the carrying of firearms of calibers 5.56mm and 7.62mm by security guards of private security companies when on duty protecting rural areas.

• He is the author of Bill 352/2024 , which amends Law No. 7,210, of July 11, 1984 – the Penal Execution Law, to provide for prison labor and compensation for damages.

• He was the rapporteur for PLP 178/2021 , which establishes the National Statute for the Simplification of Ancillary Tax Obligations.

The senator focuses his agenda on strategic areas such as the economy, public safety, and education, always seeking to promote regional and national development.
