Trajectory
Márcio Carlos Marinho was born on December 12, 1970 , in Cabo Frio (RJ) . Before entering politics, he built a career as a radio broadcaster , presenting programs on radio and TV stations in Rio de Janeiro, Pernambuco, and Bahia. He holds a degree in Public Management , also studied Law (without completing the degree), and has a postgraduate degree in Consumer Law. He is a bishop of the Universal Church of the Kingdom of God , working as a missionary and religious leader, which shaped his public and political profile.
Márcio Marinho began his legislative career as a state representative in Bahia , elected in 2002, serving in the Legislative Assembly (ALBA) until 2006. In 2008, he assumed the mandate of federal deputy as an alternate , becoming a full member in December of that year. Since then, he has been successively re-elected—in 2010, 2014, 2018, and 2022—currently serving his fifth consecutive term in the House of Representatives. Within the House of Representatives, he has served as vice-leader of his party , leader of the Republicanos caucus (2016–2017) , and also held the position of Secretary of Social Communication for the House of Representatives. His main political focuses include defending consumer rights , protecting children and adolescents , valuing the elderly , and the recognition of optometry as a profession.
During his term in 2025, Representative Márcio Marinho presented 102 proposals and reported on 13 projects , actively participating in 195 roll-call votes in plenary sessions.
Marinho plays central roles in highly relevant committees: he is a member of the Foreign Relations and National Defense Committee, the Special Committee on the Sports Incentive Law (PLP 234/24) , and the Special Committee on Health Agents and the Fight against Endemic Diseases (PEC 014/21). He also serves as an alternate member of committees such as Mines and Energy , Science, Technology and Innovation , Consumer Protection , and Agriculture, Livestock and Supply.

I request, pursuant to Article 155, item I, of the Internal Regulations of the House of Representatives, an Urgent Procedure for Bill 2158/23, authored by Senator EFRAIM FILHO, UNIÃO/PB, which amends Law No. 5,991, of December 17, 1973, which "provides for the Sanitary Control of the Trade in Drugs, Medicines, Pharmaceutical Inputs and Related Products, and takes other measures", to regulate the sale of medicines in pharmacies or drugstores located in the sales area of supermarkets.
