Maurício Neves (Manoel Maurício Silva Neves) is a Brazilian businessman and politician , born on November 5, 1979, in São Caetano do Sul (SP) . He holds a degree in business administration from Universidade São Marcos (SP) and has a background in business and in discussions about entrepreneurship and municipalism before entering party politics with the Progressistas (PP-SP) party. In the 2022 elections, he was elected federal deputy for São Paulo with 129,731 votes , beginning his first term in the 57th Legislature (2023–2027) in the House of Representatives .
In his parliamentary political career , Maurício Neves has served as deputy leader of the parliamentary bloc (UNIÃO, PP, PSDB-Cidadania Federation, PDT, Avante, Solidariedade, PRD) between April 2024 and January 2025 , and on March 19, 2025, he was elected president of the Transportation and Highways Committee of the House of Representatives , a strategic body for infrastructure and logistics issues. He is also a full member of the External Committee to Monitor the Works of the Santos-Guarujá Tunnel and was an alternate member of committees such as Industry, Commerce and Services , expanding his thematic activity in the House.
In the National Congress , Maurício Neves' legislative work focuses on infrastructure, transportation, social inclusion, and health , with more than 50 proposals of his authorship registered on the House of Representatives' website in 2025. His output includes bills such as PL 520/2025 , which names the Santos-Guarujá tunnel "King Pelé" ; PL 1319/2025 , which amends the FGTS Law to establish grounds for withdrawing funds from workers' linked accounts ; PL 6330/2025 , which allocates resources to the Unified Health System for the treatment of people with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) ; and PL 4652/2025 , which obligates the Union and federative entities to display rights on posters in medical-hospital care units . Bill 4653/2025 , which alters the rules for public tenders to prioritize administrative morality and probity ; and Bill 3308/2025 , which amends the Penal Code to classify attacks against the security of urban public passenger transport as a crime , reflecting its agenda on infrastructure, legal security, and the inclusion of social policies .

I request, pursuant to Article 155, item I, of the Internal Regulations of the House of Representatives, an Urgent Procedure for Bill 2158/23, authored by Senator EFRAIM FILHO, UNIÃO/PB, which amends Law No. 5,991, of December 17, 1973, which "provides for the Sanitary Control of the Trade in Drugs, Medicines, Pharmaceutical Inputs and Related Products, and takes other measures", to regulate the sale of medicines in pharmacies or drugstores located in the sales area of supermarkets.
