Trajectory
Lúcio Mosquini has a diverse political and educational background. He was born in Rondonópolis and was involved in student movements, including the campaign to impeach former president Fernando Collor de Melo. His participation in student movements suggests a prior interest in political and social issues.
He is an electrical engineer, graduated from the Federal University of Mato Grosso, and holds a postgraduate degree in Public Controlling, demonstrating a solid educational background in technical and administrative areas. His role as Director General of the State Department of Roads and Highways (DER) also demonstrates his experience in public management.
Upon joining the MDB in 2018, Lúcio Mosquini consolidated his entry into party politics. In 2019, he was elected Federal Deputy, standing out as the author of 33 legislative proposals and participant in 316 plenary votes. This active legislative performance may suggest a dedication to the formulation and voting of policies, as well as a commitment to representing the interests of his constituents.
His position as state president of the MDB party and deputy leader of the Bolsonaro government highlights his leadership role within the party and his connection to the federal government. These positions indicate his ability to influence politics both within the party and at the national level.
His re-election in 2022 with 48,735 votes suggests continued support from his voters and recognition of his performance as a federal deputy.
In short, Lúcio Mosquini is an electrical engineer with training and experience in public administration, who became involved in student movements and entered politics through the MDB party. His work as a federal deputy, the authorship of legislative proposals, and his position as vice-leader of the Bolsonaro government demonstrate his influence on the political scene. His re-election strengthens his mandate and indicates support from his voters.
