Kim Patroca Kataguiri, born in Salto/SP on January 28, 1996, is a law student at the Brazilian Institute of Teaching, Development and Research (IDP) . He is the son of metalworker Paulo Atuhiro Kataguiri and homemaker Claudia Cristina Patroca Kataguiri , and is of Japanese descent. He is the author of the books *Quem é esse moleque para estar na Folha?* and *Como um grupo desafados derbouu a presidente – MBL: A Origem*. In 2015, Time magazine ranked Kataguiri as one of the most influential young people in the world .
He gained notoriety as a political activist and co-founder of the Free Brazil Movement (MBL) , an organization that stood out in the mobilization for the 2016 impeachment of former President Dilma Rousseff (PT) . Among its actions,in 2015 he led a march from São Paulo to Brasília to pressure congressmen to impeach the president. Between 2016 and 2017, he was a columnist for Folha de S. Paulo .
In the 2018 elections, Kataguiri ran for federal deputy for São Paulo with the Democrats (DEM), receiving 465,310 votes, making him the fourth most voted candidate in São Paulo and electing him as the youngest deputy in the country's history , at the age of 23. In 2022, he was re-elected federal deputy for União Brasil with 295,460 votes .
During his term as a federal deputy, Kim Kataguiri's main causes were the economy, the fight against corruption, and freedom of expression. He voted in favor of the 2019 Pension Reform and the 2023 Tax Reform. He was president of the Parliamentary Front for the Free Market between 2019 and 2020. In 2022, he was president of the Education Committee .

Acknowledgements
Kim Kataguiri received the Parliamentary Excellence Award from the Politicians Ranking every year of his first term (2019-2022), and every year of the 57th Legislature (2022-2026), being the 4th best parliamentarian in São Paulo and 6th in the overall ranking for the legislature.
