Josimar Cunha Rodrigues is a remarkable figure who emerged from the rural landscape of the municipality of Várzea Alegre, in the Cariri Region (CE), with a life journey full of overcoming challenges and determination. Son of humble farmers, Mr. José Rodrigues de Freitas and Mrs. Nilda Cunha Rodrigues, Josimar witnessed in his family the resilience necessary to face the adversities of the Ceará backlands, cultivating optimism and faith.
With a successful business career in the agricultural sector, Josimar has built an entrepreneurial trajectory that reflects his leadership skills and strategic vision.
His involvement in politics began as a candidate for mayor of Maranhãozinho, representing the Liberal Party (PL), in the 2004 elections. Demonstrating his ability to connect with the electorate, he was re-elected in 2008, achieving a significant vote that represented approximately 85.66% of the valid votes. This significant approval attested to his effectiveness in meeting the community's needs and his management skills.
Josimar continued his political rise when he was elected state deputy for the Republican Party (PR) in 2014, with 99,252 votes (3.11% of valid votes). His performance at the state level highlighted him as a representative committed to the demands and aspirations of the population.
In 2018, his political career expanded to the federal level when he was elected federal deputy, also representing the Republican Party (PR), obtaining 195,768 votes (5.99% of valid votes). This achievement demonstrated his political reach and his ability to mobilize on a broader platform.
The consolidation of his political influence was once again evident in 2022, when Josimar Cunha Rodrigues was re-elected as a federal deputy with an impressive 158,300 votes, reaffirming his connection with the electorate and his relevance in the political landscape.
