Trajectory
Josenildo Santos Abrantes, born in the municipality of Serra do Navio, in the interior of Amapá, is the son of a seamstress and a heavy machinery operator. A graduate in Administration and specialist in Public Management and Planning, Josenildo is a federal deputy for Amapá.
Before beginning his political career, Josenildo passed the competitive examination for the Amapá State Finance Secretariat (Sefaz) at the age of 19, becoming the youngest person to pass that exam. He previously served as secretary in the municipality of Santana and as secretary for 7 years and 3 months at the Amapá State Finance Secretariat. During his time at Sefaz, he was vice-president of the National Committee of Secretaries of Finance, Revenue and Taxation of the States and the Federal District (Comsefaz) for two terms.
He left his post in the first half of 2022 to run for office for the first time, being elected federal deputy for Amapá by the Democratic Labor Party (PDT) as the most voted in the state with 27,112 votes (6.39% of valid votes).
During his first term as a federal deputy, Josenildo Santos Abrantes' main agendas include tax reform and policies focused on economic development and job creation. Among his main actions are:
Rapporteur for Bill 229/19 , which allows the practice of any profession as a micro-entrepreneur (MEI) ;
He was deputy leader of the Lula government in the House of Representatives in 2023;
In 2024 he was elected to chair the Industry, Commerce and Services Committee .
He voted in favor of the tax reform in 2023.

I request, pursuant to Article 155, item I, of the Internal Regulations of the House of Representatives, an Urgent Procedure for Bill 2158/23, authored by Senator EFRAIM FILHO, UNIÃO/PB, which amends Law No. 5,991, of December 17, 1973, which "provides for the Sanitary Control of the Trade in Drugs, Medicines, Pharmaceutical Inputs and Related Products, and takes other measures", to regulate the sale of medicines in pharmacies or drugstores located in the sales area of supermarkets.
