Trajectory
Joseildo Ramos is a Brazilian politician whose career is marked by his political and public work in Bahia. He was re-elected for a second term in the House of Representatives, receiving 104,228 votes, representing 1.31% of the valid votes. He began his political career in 2000 when he was elected mayor of the municipality of Alagoinhas/BA. During his term as mayor, he created the Municipal Environmental Sanitation Plan, demonstrating his commitment to environmental and infrastructure issues. He was re-elected to the position and served until 2008. After his time as mayor, Joseildo Ramos continued his political work in the government of Bahia, working alongside the then Secretary of Institutional Relations, Rui Costa.
In 2010, he was elected to his first term as a state representative. During this period, he had a prominent role as vice-leader of the party in the Legislative Assembly, rapporteur of the Telecommunications CPI (Parliamentary Commission of Inquiry), and president of the Constitution and Justice Commission (CCJ). He focused his work on issues related to the environment, education, family farming, health, and infrastructure. Joseildo Ramos is the author of important laws in Bahia. He is responsible for the sanctioned law 13.221/15, which provides for the punishment of companies involved in the exploitation of labor analogous to slavery in the state. In addition, he is the author of law 13.444/15, which obliges gas stations to inform consumers about the most advantageous fuel option. In the House of Representatives, Joseildo Ramos served as a member of the Urban Development Commission and the Mines and Energy Commission. He also served on the Special Committee for Bill 3261/19, which deals with updating the Basic Sanitation Framework in 2019. His political career is characterized by his commitment to social, environmental, and infrastructure issues, as well as his work defending the rights of workers and consumers.

I request, pursuant to Article 155, item I, of the Internal Regulations of the House of Representatives, an Urgent Procedure for Bill 2158/23, authored by Senator EFRAIM FILHO, UNIÃO/PB, which amends Law No. 5,991, of December 17, 1973, which "provides for the Sanitary Control of the Trade in Drugs, Medicines, Pharmaceutical Inputs and Related Products, and takes other measures", to regulate the sale of medicines in pharmacies or drugstores located in the sales area of supermarkets.
