Ismael Alexandrino Júnior was born on July 26, 1983, in São Luís de Montes Belos, Goiás. He graduated in Medicine, specializing in the field, and worked as a doctor before entering politics.
Before assuming his mandate as a federal deputy, Ismael Alexandrino was Secretary of State for Health of Goiás between 2019 and 2022, in the government of Ronaldo Caiado. In the 2022 elections, he was elected federal deputy for Goiás by the PSD, with 54,791 votes. This is his first term in the House of Representatives (legislature 2023-2027).
In the House of Representatives, Ismael Alexandrino has been quite active. Since the beginning of his term, he has presented approximately 70 proposals of his own authorship and reported on 37. He has assumed leadership positions in committees, being elected vice-president of the Health Committee, where he intends to focus on strengthening the SUS (Unified Health System), supporting health professionals, and ensuring qualified access to health services. He is also a full member of the Public Security and Combating Organized Crime Committee. He was also chosen as vice-leader of the parliamentary bloc that includes PSD, MDB, Republicanos, and Podemos.

I request, pursuant to Article 155, item I, of the Internal Regulations of the House of Representatives, an Urgent Procedure for Bill 2158/23, authored by Senator EFRAIM FILHO, UNIÃO/PB, which amends Law No. 5,991, of December 17, 1973, which "provides for the Sanitary Control of the Trade in Drugs, Medicines, Pharmaceutical Inputs and Related Products, and takes other measures", to regulate the sale of medicines in pharmacies or drugstores located in the sales area of supermarkets.
