Trajectory
Guilherme Aristóteles Uchoa Cavalcanti Pessoa de Melo Júnior, known as Guilherme Uchoa , was born on April 27, 1971, in Paulista, Pernambuco . A businessman by training, he entered politics with strong ties to the PSB (Brazilian Socialist Party) and was elected federal deputy for Pernambuco in the 2022 elections , assuming his first term in the House of Representatives for the 2023–2027 legislature .
Before reaching the National Congress, Uchoa worked in state politics as a state representative in Pernambuco , being elected in 2018 with one of the highest vote counts in the state. His political background is linked to the legacy of his father, former state representative and president of the Legislative Assembly of Pernambuco, Guilherme Uchoa, who presided over the Alepe for six consecutive terms until 2018. His career reflects regional work in defense of issues such as social inclusion, accessibility, and local development.
In Congress, Guilherme Uchoa serves as a federal deputy (2023–2027) for the PSB party and actively participates in legislative activities. In the current legislature, he has registered 57 proposals of his own authorship and 7 of his own report in the House of Representatives until 2025. Among the projects presented are initiatives such as PL 798/2023 (which allows for the deduction of food expenses for workers taxed under the presumed profit regime), PL 885/2023 (which names a section of BR-232 as "Rodovia Mestre Vitalino"), as well as complementary bills such as PLP 59/2023 , PLP 60/2023 , and PLP 61/2023 , which deal with the creation of integrated territorial development regions, and other proposals focused on inclusive education ( PL 858/2023 ) and urban mobility ( PL 720/2023 ).
