Trajectory
Gilberto Aparecido Abramo was born on August 6, 1966, in Porto Ferreira (SP), and is a public manager and communicator by profession. He holds a postgraduate degree in Financial and Budgetary Management in Public Organizations and previously worked as a journalist and radio broadcaster before entering politics.
He served four consecutive terms as a state representative in Minas Gerais before being elected to the Brazilian House of Representatives in 2018 by the Republicanos/PRB party. He was re-elected in 2022.
Within the National Congress, Gilberto Abramo has signed numerous proposals and served on strategic committees. In 2025, he authored 485 proposals and was the rapporteur for 11 projects . He chaired the Transportation and Communications Committee from March 6, 2024, to March 18, 2025, and remains a member of that same committee (CVT). Furthermore, he was elected leader of the Republican Party in the House of Representatives on February 4, 2025. He also chairs the Brazil-Israel Parliamentary Group and has held positions such as 1st vice-president of the committee dealing with the Constitutional Amendment Proposal (PEC) on the Minimum Quota of Party Resources.

I request, pursuant to Article 155, item I, of the Internal Regulations of the House of Representatives, an Urgent Procedure for Bill 2158/23, authored by Senator EFRAIM FILHO, UNIÃO/PB, which amends Law No. 5,991, of December 17, 1973, which "provides for the Sanitary Control of the Trade in Drugs, Medicines, Pharmaceutical Inputs and Related Products, and takes other measures", to regulate the sale of medicines in pharmacies or drugstores located in the sales area of supermarkets.
