Trajectory
Fausto Vieira dos Santos Júnior was born on December 20, 1992 , in Manaus (AM) . He studied Law at the Escola Superior Batista do Amazonas (ESBAM) between 2017 and 2022, but did not complete the course. From an early age, he was involved in politics, reflecting an interest in citizenship and public issues since his youth.
Fausto Júnior began his career as a state representative for Amazonas in 2018, elected by the Green Party (PV) with approximately 19,446 votes. In 2020, he moved to the PRTB and, in 2022, joined União Brasil , the party for which he was elected federal deputy with 87,876 votes on October 2, 2022. During his term as a state representative, he was the rapporteur for the COVID-19 CPI in Amazonas .
In January 2024 , he assumed the position of Secretary of State for Urban and Metropolitan Development (Sedurb-AM) , coordinating the Amazonas Meu Lar housing program , considered the largest in the state's history. He left the position in November 2024 to return to the House of Representatives.
He presented demands focused on the Amazon region, such as the prohibition of overhead meters, and mobilized a hearing in the Mines and Energy Committee regarding local demands. He also chaired the Parliamentary Front in Defense of the BR-319 highway , focused on regional infrastructure.
He presented several projects, such as:
PL 3275/2023 : classifies crimes of mistreatment and torture against children as a specific crime;
Bill 2765/2023 : prohibits unilateral termination of health insurance plans for autistic individuals;
PL 2494/2023 : increases penalties for the crime of abortion without consent;
She is the vice-president of the Mixed Parliamentary Front for Public Transparency , which focuses on monitoring spending and resuming unfinished projects in Amazonas, such as those estimated at around R$ 190 million.
He stood out in the fight for tax reform , defending the preservation of incentives in the Manaus Free Trade Zone as a victory for the local economy.
