Fausto Ruy Pinato is a Brazilian lawyer and politician born on June 1, 1977, in Fernandópolis (SP) . A law graduate, he began his public life as a parliamentary advisor and in state public administration before being elected to the National Congress. He is affiliated with the Progressistas (PP-SP) party and has a strong presence in regional development issues, international relations, and support for agribusiness, reflecting his origins in the interior of São Paulo state.
In his political career , Pinato was first elected federal deputy for São Paulo in 2014 , assuming office on February 1, 2015 , and was re-elected in 2018 and 2022 , currently serving his third term in the 57th Legislature (2023-2027) . Throughout his time in the House of Representatives, he has served as vice-leader of party blocs at different times , was president of the Agriculture, Livestock, Supply and Rural Development Committee in the previous legislature, and chairs parliamentary fronts such as the Brazil-China and BRICS fronts , which are important for issues of foreign trade and international cooperation. In 2025, he will hold important positions such as 3rd vice-president of the Science, Technology and Innovation Committee and vice-leader of the majority bloc in the House of Representatives , in addition to holding leadership positions in bilateral parliamentary groups such as 1st vice-president of the Brazil/Malaysia Parliamentary Group and 1st secretary of the Brazil/Republic of Azerbaijan Parliamentary Group .
In the National Congress , Fausto Pinato has a significant legislative presence, with approximately 157 proposals authored by him and 23 reported in 2025 , registered on the House of Representatives's website.
