Diego Alexsander Gonçalo Paula Garcia (known as Diego Garcia ) was born on October 10, 1984, in Bandeirantes (PR) . He is an administrator by training, is married and has children, and before entering politics he was active in movements linked to the Catholic Charismatic Renewal and social organizations, which positioned him as an active voice in issues defending life, family, and Christian values.
In his political career , Diego Garcia was elected federal deputy for Paraná in 2014 , assuming his first term on February 1, 2015 , and was re-elected in 2018, 2022, and is currently serving his third term in the 57th Legislature (2023–2027) for the Republicanos (PR) party . Throughout his parliamentary career, he has held leadership positions as vice-leader in various parliamentary and minority blocs , including the bloc that groups UNIÃO, PP, PSD, Republicanos, MDB, PSDB-Cidadania Federation, and PODE, and has participated in several committees, especially those on Education, Human Rights, and Culture , aligned with his agenda of defending the family and combating corruption.
In the National Congress , Diego Garcia has an intense legislative activity, with 649 proposals of his authorship and 138 reported in 2025 registered on the House of Representatives' portal. Among his bills are PL 5051/2025 , which amends provisions of Law No. 13,506/2017 on administrative sanctioning processes for access to integrated financial information; PL 5050/2025 , which establishes the National Day of Chronic Thromboembolic Pulmonary Hypertension ; PL 3136/2025 , which extends IPI exemption to families with more than three children when purchasing automobiles; and PL 5856/2025 , which updates terminology referring to people with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) . In previous years, he presented projects such as Bill 949/2022 , which deals with raising awareness of the newborn screening test , and Bill 2078/2024 , which proposes recognizing fibromyalgia as a disability for the purposes of priority care and social security benefits, among other topics of social inclusion, health, and family.

I request, pursuant to Article 155, item I, of the Internal Regulations of the House of Representatives, an Urgent Procedure for Bill 2158/23, authored by Senator EFRAIM FILHO, UNIÃO/PB, which amends Law No. 5,991, of December 17, 1973, which "provides for the Sanitary Control of the Trade in Drugs, Medicines, Pharmaceutical Inputs and Related Products, and takes other measures", to regulate the sale of medicines in pharmacies or drugstores located in the sales area of supermarkets.
