Trajectory
Daniel Freitas is a Brazilian politician born in Criciúma, Santa Catarina. He has a political career marked by his involvement in various parliamentary fronts and committees, as well as having been elected to positions at different levels of government.
He is the great-grandson of Diomício Freitas, who was a businessman and federal deputy for Santa Catarina. Daniel Freitas has a degree in Business Administration and began his political career when he was elected councilman for Criciúma in 2012, being re-elected in 2016 by the Progressive Party (PP).
On October 7, 2018, he was elected federal deputy for Santa Catarina for the 56th legislature, this time affiliated with the Social Liberal Party (PSL). During his first year as a federal deputy, he was part of the Special Committee on Pension Reform, demonstrating his involvement in important issues for the country.
Furthermore, Daniel Freitas distinguished himself through his work in parliamentary fronts. He became coordinator of the Mixed Parliamentary Front in Support of Mineral Coal and also president of the Mixed Parliamentary Front of the Brazilian Space Program. His work also extended to topics such as adoption and family life, agribusiness, and family farming.
Regarding the use of resources from electoral funds (election campaign funds), Daniel Freitas defended allocating these resources to combat the coronavirus, showing his concern about the public health situation.
In the subsequent elections, Daniel Freitas was re-elected with 108,000 votes, demonstrating the recognition of his work by voters in Santa Catarina. His political career is marked by his commitment to various issues and his involvement in different spheres of government.
Acknowledgements
Daniel Freitas received the Parliamentary Excellence Award in 2023 and 2026 from the Ranking of Politicians , being the 6th best parliamentarian in Santa Catarina and 73rd in the overall ranking for the Legislature.

I request, pursuant to Article 155, item I, of the Internal Regulations of the House of Representatives, an Urgent Procedure for Bill 2158/23, authored by Senator EFRAIM FILHO, UNIÃO/PB, which amends Law No. 5,991, of December 17, 1973, which "provides for the Sanitary Control of the Trade in Drugs, Medicines, Pharmaceutical Inputs and Related Products, and takes other measures", to regulate the sale of medicines in pharmacies or drugstores located in the sales area of supermarkets.
