Trajectory
Cláudio Cajado de Oliveira was born in Salvador, Bahia, on January 17, 1961. A graduate in Business Administration from the Catholic University of Salvador (UCSal), he built his professional career combining technical expertise with dedication to public service.
Cajado began his political life at a young age, serving as a city councilor in his hometown and later as a state representative for Bahia. Over the years, he consolidated his position as a leader of the Progressistas (PP) party, for which he has served successive terms as a federal deputy. Recognized for his ability to build alliances and his firm stance on economic and institutional issues, he has become one of the party's most important figures in the House of Representatives.
In the House of Representatives, Cláudio Cajado stands out for his active participation in strategic committees and for his consistent legislative output. In 2025, he presented 29 proposals of his own authorship and reported on 5 matters, in addition to participating in 204 roll-call votes. His presence is remarkable: he attended 63 plenary sessions, with only two justified absences and none without justification, as well as attending 47 committee meetings.
The parliamentarian holds prominent positions, serving as a member of the Foreign Relations and National Defense Committee, the Constitution, Justice and Citizenship Committee (CCJC), and the Special Committee responsible for amending Income Tax legislation. He is also an alternate member of the Finance and Taxation Committee and the Special Committee on the Brazilian Port System. Since May 2025, he has held the position of 2nd vice-president of the CCJC, one of the most important committees in the House.
His work also includes a strong presence in parliamentary diplomacy: he chairs the Brazil-Malaysia, Brazil-Kazakhstan, Brazil-Georgia, and Brazil-Azerbaijan Parliamentary Groups, and has participated in official missions of the Inter-Parliamentary Union (IPU) in Tashkent, New York, and Rome. In terms of party affiliation, Cajado demonstrates high discipline with his party's guidelines, achieving almost 90% alignment in 2024. Regarding resource management, his expenses with the parliamentary allowance in 2025 were around R$ 452,000, below the national average, demonstrating administrative austerity.
