Murilo Galdino (Cássio Murilo Galdino de Araújo) was born on July 2, 1980, in Pocinhos, Paraíba . A lawyer with a postgraduate degree in Public Management, he began his political career in municipal government in Campina Grande, where he was elected councilman in 2012 , standing out for projects in the areas of accessibility, defense of people with disabilities, job creation, culture, and animal welfare. Later, he served as Secretary of Political Articulation for Paraíba between 2020 and 2022 before running for federal deputy for the Republicanos party , being elected with 112,891 votes and assuming his first term in the House of Representatives (2023–2027) .
His political career is marked by the transition from municipal and state-level work to the federal level. As a city councilor, he built a base of support and local legislative experience that propelled him to the position of federal deputy, consolidating himself as a representative of Paraíba in the House of Representatives. The 2022 election placed him among the most voted parliamentarians in the state, with votes in practically all municipalities of Paraíba, and reaffirmed his commitment to municipal agendas and regional demands.
In Congress, Murilo Galdino actively participates in legislative activities. In the House of Representatives , he is a member of the Constitution, Justice and Citizenship Committee (CCJC) and the Finance and Taxation Committee (CFT) , as well as an alternate member of committees such as Health and Agriculture, Livestock, Supply and Rural Development ; he also serves on special committees such as the one dealing with the Brazilian Port System (PL 733/2025) , Energy Transition and stalled public works. His legislative output includes projects such as PL 235/2025 (financial assistance to victims of domestic violence), PL 3057/2025 (compensation for moral damages in payroll loan fraud), PL 5241/2025 (guidelines in supplementary health), PL 4337/2025 (guarantee of scheduled consultations and treatments in health plans), and others presented since 2023 on topics such as consumer protection, inclusion, and sustainability.

I request, pursuant to Article 155, item I, of the Internal Regulations of the House of Representatives, an Urgent Procedure for Bill 2158/23, authored by Senator EFRAIM FILHO, UNIÃO/PB, which amends Law No. 5,991, of December 17, 1973, which "provides for the Sanitary Control of the Trade in Drugs, Medicines, Pharmaceutical Inputs and Related Products, and takes other measures", to regulate the sale of medicines in pharmacies or drugstores located in the sales area of supermarkets.
