Bruno Arevalo Ganem is a Brazilian politician and engineer , born on September 15, 1986, in São Paulo (SP) . He grew up in Indaiatuba (SP) and began his political career at a young age, getting involved in community projects and animal rights activism. He was a city councilor in Indaiatuba , receiving the most votes in 2012, and was later elected state deputy in 2018 by Podemos , being the party's most voted candidate in the state. In 2022, he obtained 141,595 votes and was elected federal deputy for São Paulo , assuming his mandate in the 57th Legislature (2023-2027) in the House of Representatives .
In his political career , Ganem built a reputation on social, environmental, and animal rights issues, as well as inclusion and well-being. In Congress, he previously held the position of Secretary of Transparency of the House of Representatives (until April 2025) , focusing on promoting access to public information and social control , and in November 2025 he became vice-leader of the expanded parliamentary bloc (União, PP, PSD, Republicanos, MDB, PSDB-CIDADANIA Federation and Podemos) . He also served on several permanent committees , such as Environment and Sustainable Development (as a full member) , Transportation , Health , and Foreign Relations and National Defense , and was 2nd vice-president of the House of Representatives's Ethics Council and coordinator of the External Committee on the Voepass Flight 2283 Accident .
In the National Congress , Bruno Ganem has a broad and diverse parliamentary career, with approximately 130 proposals of his own authorship and 18 reports registered in 2025. He is a member of the Environment and Sustainable Development Committee and a member of the Transportation, Health , Foreign Relations, and National Defense Committees, in addition to having served as Secretary of Transparency of the House of Representatives until April 2025 , a role focused on strengthening access to information and social control. He also served as 2nd vice-president of the Ethics Council and coordinated the External Committee on the Voepass Flight 2283 Accident . In November 2025, he began serving as vice-leader of a parliamentary bloc , expanding his role in political articulation. Among the projects he authored, the most notable is PL 4164/2025 , which classifies the desecration of animal carcasses in the Environmental Crimes Law; Bill 3228/2025 , which ensures people with ASD and other neurodivergences the right to choose adapted fabrics in educational and professional environments; Bill 4936/2025 , which expands transparency and control of public works in the Bidding Law; Bill 1310/2025 , which conditions transfers from the National Public Security Fund to the adoption of artificial intelligence in ombudsman offices and internal affairs departments; and Bill 1494/2023 , which prohibits the use of live vertebrate animals in cosmetic testing, consolidating its work in the areas of animal protection, social inclusion, transparency, and public security.
