Beatriz Kicis Torrents de Sordi, better known as Bia Kicis, born in Resende/RJ on September 19, 1961, is a Brazilian lawyer, activist, YouTuber, and politician, affiliated with the Liberal Party (PL). Currently, she serves as a federal deputy for the Federal District. She is a retired prosecutor from the Federal District and is known for her activism in conservative and reactionary causes.
At 23, Bia Kicis had her first job as a lawyer at SERPRO. In 1992, she passed the public service exam for the position of Attorney for the Federal District, taking office on May 13, 1992. During her career in the Attorney General's Office, she became Chief of Staff to the Attorney General, Deputy Attorney General, and Inspector General of the Attorney General's Office, retiring as Deputy Attorney General of the Federal District in January 2016. In 2015, she founded the Instituto Resgata Brasil and was invited to be one of the representatives in Brasília of the Revoltados ON LINE Movement. Since then, she has been involved in political activism, defending conservative causes and fighting corruption.
Bia Kicis launched her candidacy for federal deputy for the Federal District in 2018 and was elected by the PRP with 86,415 votes . After the election, she joined the PSL due to the barrier clause that affected the PRP. In 2022, she was re-elected federal deputy by the PL with 214,733 votes , being the most voted in the caucus.
During her term as a federal deputy, Bia Kicis has distinguished herself through her work on issues related to public safety, individual rights, defense of freedom of expression, and the fight against corruption. Among her main achievements are:
She voted in favor of the 2019 Pension Reform and against the 2023 Tax Reform. In 2024, she is the minority leader in the House of Representatives .
Acknowledgements
Bia Kicis received the Parliamentary Excellence Award from the Politicians Ranking every year of her first term (2019-2022) and every year of the 57th Legislature (2023-2026), being the best parliamentarian in the Federal District and 17th in the overall ranking for the Legislature.

I request, pursuant to Article 155, item I, of the Internal Regulations of the House of Representatives, an Urgent Procedure for Bill 2158/23, authored by Senator EFRAIM FILHO, UNIÃO/PB, which amends Law No. 5,991, of December 17, 1973, which "provides for the Sanitary Control of the Trade in Drugs, Medicines, Pharmaceutical Inputs and Related Products, and takes other measures", to regulate the sale of medicines in pharmacies or drugstores located in the sales area of supermarkets.
